Analysis: Broxton's body language showed he wasn't thrilled to not be used in a save situation, but Sherrill is a proven closer so this may happen from time to time depending on the situations.

The visiting Dodgers fell 4-3 in 10 innings to the host Diamondbacks.
Analysis: Broxton has a 6.43 ERA in his last seven appearances. He is is 25 of 30 in save attempts this season, was 14 of 22 last season and 2 of 8 in 2007.

Analysis: Broxton had blown just two of his first 25 opportunities. This is his first full season as a closer, but there shouldn't be too much concern here yet.

Analysis: Broxton, who has been hampered by a sore big right toe and has had two cortisone shots for it, pitched for the first time in eight days. The first-time All-Star gave up a leadoff walk and an infield hit to Carlos Lee, then fanned Hunter Pence and Chris Coste before loading the bases with a walk to Lance Berkman. "I felt good out there, but I was a little rusty," Broxton said. "I was yanking some pitches and I just dug myself a hole, but I battled through it."
